Visiting Evans Acres Mini Farm 🐮🐐🐴
We love welcoming visitors to Evans Acres! However, we are a working family farm and aren't open for everyday drop-in visits. We welcome guests during our scheduled Open Farm Days, seasonal festivals, and prearranged farm tours.
1. When can I visit the farm?
We offer several opportunities throughout the year to come enjoy the farm and meet our animals! Join us for an Open Farm Day, attend one of our seasonal festivals, or schedule a private farm tour. Check our website or social media pages for upcoming dates and events.
2. What is the difference between Open Farm Days, Farm Tours, and Festivals?
We're glad you asked! Each offers a slightly different way to experience Evans Acres!
-
Open Farm Days: A relaxed, affordable opportunity to explore the farm, visit the animals, and enjoy some family time at your own pace.
-
Farm Tours: A more personal, scheduled experience where you can learn about our animals and life on the farm.
-
Festivals: Our biggest events of the year! Along with our adorable animals, you'll find extra activities, games, vendors, food, and plenty of family fun.
3. Do I need reservations?
It depends on your visit! Our private farm tours require advance scheduling. Open Farm Days and festivals generally don't require reservations, although purchasing tickets ahead of time may be encouraged or offer special pricing. Be sure to check the details for the event you're planning to attend.
4. Can I just stop by to see the animals?
We wish we could welcome visitors anytime, but because Evans Acres is a working farm and our family home, we aren't able to accommodate unscheduled visits. We'd love to have you join us during an Open Farm Day, one of our festivals, or a scheduled farm tour!
5. How much does it cost to visit?
Admission prices vary depending on the event or experience. We work hard to keep our farm experiences affordable for families! You'll find current admission prices and ticket information on each event's page on our website.
6. Where are you located?
You'll find us in the beautiful countryside of Bothwell, Utah, just outside Tremonton!
Evans Acres Mini Farm
13485 N 10000 W
Bothwell, Utah
7. How long should we plan to stay?
That depends on your visit! For Open Farm Days, we'd recommend allowing at least 1–2 hours to enjoy the animals and explore. During our festivals, families often spend several hours enjoying all the extra activities. Farm tours typically last about an hour, while some of our other seasonal events have specific reserved time slots. Be sure to check the details for the event you're attending. Whatever brings you to Evans Acres, we hope you'll slow down, enjoy a little country living, and make some wonderful memories!
8. Is the farm stroller or wheelchair friendly?
Yes! Most all of our farm's activity areas are accessible to wheelchairs and strollers. However, we're a real working farm, so our pathways and activity areas are outdoors on natural ground, including dirt, gravel, and grass. Some areas may be uneven or a little more difficult to navigate, especially after rain. Strollers and wheelchairs with larger wheels generally work best, while smaller wheels may struggle a bit on certain surfaces. We want everyone to enjoy their visit, so just keep in mind that accessibility may vary depending on weather and ground conditions!
9. Are restrooms available?
Yes! We have a portable restroom (porta-potty) available for our guests, along with hand sanitizer and a handwashing station to help keep everyone clean and comfortable during their visit!
10. Can we bring a picnic?
-
We love the idea of families slowing down and enjoying a picnic on the farm! During our Open Farm Days, picnic areas are available for you to bring your own food and enjoy.
-
For our festivals, outside food and drinks are not permitted, but we'll have food and refreshments available for purchase.
-
If you're joining us for a private farm tour and would like to stay afterward for a picnic, please contact us ahead of time to make arrangements. Additional fees may apply.
11. Can we bring our dog?
As much as we love animals, we ask that you please leave your furry friends at home! For the safety, health, and well-being of both our farm animals and your pets, pets are not permitted on the farm. Trained service animals are welcome. Thank you for helping us keep everyone safe and comfortable!
12. What should we wear?
Come dressed for a day on the farm! We recommend comfortable clothes and closed-toe shoes that you don't mind getting a little dusty or dirty. Remember, we're an outdoor farm, so dress for the weather. Sunscreen, hats, and jackets are always good ideas depending on the season!
13. What happens if it rains?
A little rain doesn't necessarily stop the fun! Most of our events are held rain or shine, so we encourage visitors to dress for the weather. In the event of severe weather or unsafe conditions, we'll share updates on our website and social media. Tickets are nonrefundable, but when an event has multiple dates or a makeup date is offered, we'll provide information about available options.
14. Are you open year-round?
We live and work on the farm year-round, but public visiting opportunities are seasonal. Our Spring Festival, Open Farm Days, Fall Festival, and Christmas on the Farm, as well as other seasonal activities, give families opportunities to visit throughout the year. Check our events calendar to see what's coming up next!

See our Terms and Conditions for more info
3. Can we go inside the animal pens?
We love giving our visitors the opportunity to get up close and personal with our animals! During certain events and experiences, guests may be invited into designated animal pens for some hands-on fun. However, not all pens are open to visitors. For the safety of both our guests and animals, please do not enter any animal pen unless it is clearly marked as open to the public or you have permission from a farm staff member.
4. Can we feed the animals?
Yes! Feeding the animals is one of our visitors' favorite activities! We offer specially selected animal treats for purchase during many of our farm events.
For the health and safety of our animals, please do not bring outside food or feed them anything other than approved treats provided by the farm. Our animals have specific dietary needs, and we want to keep their tummies happy and healthy!
5. Can I hold a baby goat?
Who doesn't love snuggling a baby goat?! 🐐❤️ During certain events and experiences, we may offer opportunities to hold or cuddle our baby goats.
Whether holding is available depends on the age, health, and comfort of the babies, as well as the type of event. We always put the well-being of our animals first, so holding isn't guaranteed during every visit.
6. Are there baby animals year-round?
We sure wish there were! While we have animals to love on throughout the year, most of our babies arrive during the spring and summer months.

Our available animals change throughout the year, especially during baby season! The best place to see who's looking for a new home is our website, where we list available livestock, pictures, pricing, and additional information.

3. How do I reserve an animal?
Found an animal you just can't live without? We'd love to help you make it yours!
Once you've selected an animal and we've agreed on the purchase, we'll provide a sales contract and deposit instructions. An animal is not considered reserved until the required deposit and paperwork have been received.
4. Do you require a deposit?
Yes! We require a 50% nonrefundable deposit to reserve an animal. Deposits are due within 48 hours of receiving the sales contract. The remaining balance is due according to the payment terms outlined in your contract, prior to or at pickup.
Please be sure you're ready to commit before placing a deposit, as deposits are nonrefundable.

Transportation arrangements and expenses are the buyer's responsibility, but we're happy to help point you in the right direction!
7. Do you sell to people outside Utah?
Yes, we do! Our animals have found wonderful homes both here in Utah and across the country!
Buyers are responsible for arranging transportation and meeting any health certificate or interstate transport requirements. We're happy to help coordinate the necessary details to make the process as smooth as possible.
8. Can I visit before purchasing?
We understand wanting to meet an animal before making such an important decision! Visits to see livestock for sale are available by appointment only.
Because Evans Acres is a working farm and our family home, we aren't able to accommodate unscheduled visits. Please contact us ahead of time to arrange a visit.
9. Do you offer virtual visits with animals for sale?
Absolutely! We understand that not everyone can make the trip to our farm, especially our out-of-state buyers! We're happy to schedule a virtual visit through FaceTime or Facebook Video Messenger so you can see the animal you're interested in, ask questions, and get a better feel for its personality. We're also happy to send additional pictures and videos upon request!
We know there are unfortunately a lot of livestock scams out there, and purchasing an animal—especially from someone you've never met—can feel a little intimidating. We want you to feel completely comfortable and confident purchasing from us! We're real people, raising real animals on our family farm, and we believe in being open, honest, and transparent throughout the buying process.
Whether you're just starting to look or ready to bring a new animal home, we're happy to answer your questions and help you feel confident in your decision! ❤️
10. Do your animals make good pets?
Absolutely! Many of our animals make wonderful pets and companions! Of course, every animal has its own unique personality, and not every breed or individual animal is the right fit for every home.
One thing we take great pride in here at Evans Acres is the time and attention we give our animals from the very beginning! We spend a lot of time with our breeding animals, building trust and helping them feel comfortable around us. This also allows us to spend as much time as possible around their babies from the time they're born.
We begin halter training all of our miniature horses, cattle, and donkeys at a young age, spending as much time as we can handling, gentling, and familiarizing them with people before they're weaned and head to their new homes.
Our baby goats get plenty of extra attention, too! We typically keep our spring babies through our Mini Farm Spring Festival, where they get lots of love and interaction with children and adults of all ages. By the time they're ready for their new homes, they've usually had plenty of experience being handled and socialized with people! We also send our new goat owners home with helpful tips for continuing that socialization and raising friendly, trusting goats.
Our goal is to send home animals that are already familiar with human interaction and have a great foundation for building a trusting relationship with their new families! While training and socialization will need to continue in their new homes, we believe that early handling makes a big difference.
We always encourage potential buyers to research the specific needs of the animals they're interested in, including proper fencing, shelter, feeding, companionship, and ongoing care. Remember, even miniature livestock need plenty of space, attention, and proper care!
We're always happy to answer questions and help you decide whether one of our animals would be a good fit for your family and property! ❤️
11. What breeds do you raise?
We raise several breeds of miniature livestock here at Evans Acres!
-

-
Miniature Donkeys: Miniature Mediterranean donkeys.
-
Miniature Horses: Miniature horses in a variety of colors and patterns.
-

We love the unique qualities and personalities of each breed and are happy to share more information about them!
12. Are your animals registered?
Some of our animals are registered or eligible for registration, while others are sold without registration papers. Registration status varies by breed and individual animal.
When inquiring about an animal, please ask about its registration status. We're happy to provide available pedigree and registration information.
13. Do you DNA test or health test your breeding stock?
We believe responsible breeding and healthy animals are important! Testing varies depending on the species, breed, and individual animal. Some of our miniature cattle have been DNA tested for traits such as chondrodysplasia (the chondro gene).

Goat Milk Skin & Hair Care Products 🐐🧴
From our farm to your skin! 🐐❤️
Here at Evans Acres, we raise and care for our very own Mini Nubian dairy goats, milk them ourselves, and turn that fresh goat milk into our handmade skin and hair care products! From milking the goats to mixing, pouring, and packaging each product, it's all done right here on our family farm. We take pride in using simple, thoughtfully chosen ingredients to create quality products made with love, care, and a little bit of farm life!
1. What makes your goat milk products different?
Our products are truly farm-to-skin! ❤️ Unlike many commercially made products, our goat milk skin and hair care products are handcrafted in small batches right here at Evans Acres using fresh milk from our very own goats!
We believe in keeping things simple, using thoughtfully chosen ingredients without unnecessary extras. From milking our goats to making and packaging the finished products, it's all done right here on our family farm!
2. Do you actually use milk from your own goats?
Yes, we sure do! Every goat milk product we make starts with fresh milk from our very own Mini Nubian dairy goats here at Evans Acres.
We milk our goats ourselves and use that milk to handcraft our soaps, lotions, shampoo bars, and other goat milk goodies. It's something we're especially proud of because we know exactly where our milk comes from!
3. Are your products all natural?
We believe in using simple, quality ingredients and avoiding unnecessary additives whenever possible. Many of our products are made with nourishing oils, butters, fresh goat milk, and essential oils for fragrance.
However, not every ingredient is technically considered "all natural." Some products, such as our lotions, require preservatives and emulsifiers to keep them safe, stable, and enjoyable to use.
Our goal is to create quality, handmade products with ingredients chosen for a purpose—not just to fill a bottle!
4. Which products help eczema, psoriasis, or dry skin?
We have many customers who love our goat milk products for their dry or sensitive skin!
Goat milk naturally contains fats and other components that can help make skin care products feel moisturizing and gentle. Our goat milk soaps and lotions are especially popular with customers looking for a little extra moisture and comfort.
While our products aren't intended to treat or cure eczema, psoriasis, or other medical skin conditions, they can be a lovely addition to a gentle skin care routine. Everyone's skin is different, so we recommend starting with a small amount to see what works best for you.
5. Which products are best for sensitive skin?
If you have sensitive skin, we generally recommend starting with our simplest, most gently scented or unscented goat milk products.
Our goat milk soaps and lotions are great places to start, but everyone's skin is a little different. We recommend checking the ingredients and trying a small patch of skin first, especially if you're sensitive to fragrances or essential oils.
Not sure where to start? We're always happy to help you compare our products and find something that may be a good fit!
6. Do you have fragrance-free options?
Yes, we do! We know that some people prefer products without added fragrances, especially those with sensitive skin. We offer a few wonderful options!
-
Oats & Honey Goat Milk Soap: A gentle, comforting soap made without added fragrance.
-
Calming Chamomile Goat Milk Soap: Made without added fragrance, featuring almond oil infused with chamomile flowers for a little extra botanical goodness.
-
No Added Scent Goat Milk Lotion: All the moisturizing goodness of our handmade goat milk lotion without added fragrance or essential oils!
While these products have no added fragrance, they may still have a light natural scent from their ingredients.
7. What are your best sellers?
That's a tough one because we have so many customer favorites! Our handmade goat milk soaps and lotions are especially popular, and everyone seems to have their own favorite scents and scrubs!
One thing that makes our soaps unique is that every bar contains a natural exfoliating ingredient, such as ground oats, dried herbs and flowers, coffee grounds, and others. Some bars offer a gentle, nearly smooth feel, while others provide a more vigorous scrub. With a variety of scents and exfoliation levels, customers love finding the perfect combination for their skin's needs and personal preferences!
When it comes to our goat milk lotions, some of our top-selling scents are Lavender Blossom, Rosemary Mint, Sweet Almond, and Natural Vanilla. Each has its own unique fragrance, so there's something for just about everyone!
Our shampoo bars, bath products, and ready-made gift sets are also customer favorites, whether you're treating yourself or sharing a little piece of Evans Acres with someone special! ❤️
You can browse our full collection online at EvansAcresMiniFarm.com or stop by our Red Barn Farm Store to shop in person!
8. Do you sell fresh goat milk?
Yes, we do! We sell fresh goat milk for animals, like kittens and puppies who need a little extra nourishment. We don't milk our goats for human consumption, so our fresh goat milk is only available for animal use, not for people. Contact us to inquire.
9. Are your products really made on the farm?
Yes, absolutely! And that's one of the things we're most proud of! Our goat milk skin and hair care products are 100% handcrafted right here at Evans Acres Mini Farm!
From milking our very own goats to mixing, pouring, packaging, and labeling our finished products, we do it all ourselves! We make our products in small batches with care and attention to detail. When you purchase our handmade products, you're supporting a real family farm, not a big factory!
10. Do you make custom gift baskets?
We sure do! Our goat milk skin and hair care products make wonderful gifts for birthdays, holidays, teachers, coworkers, friends, or just because!
We offer ready-made gift sets in a variety of sizes and price ranges, and we're happy to help put together a custom gift featuring your favorite Evans Acres products.
Whether you're looking for a small thank-you gift or something a little more special, contact us to discuss options, pricing, and availability. We'd love to help you create something they'll enjoy!
11. Do you ever sell your products at off-site events?
We sure do! We love getting out into the community and bringing a little piece of Evans Acres to you! Throughout the year, you'll find us at local farmers markets, craft fairs, holiday markets, and other special events throughout Northern Utah.
We bring our full line of handmade goat milk skin and hair care products, along with other farm goodies! It's a great opportunity to shop in person, discover your favorite scents, and support local small businesses.

2. Do you hire seasonal help?
Occasionally! Depending on the season and what's happening around the farm, we may need extra hands to help with farm events, festivals, and other activities.
When we have positions available, we'll typically share information on our Facebook page. Be sure to follow us for updates!
3. Do you offer internships or job shadowing?
We would love to! We're passionate about agriculture and enjoy sharing our knowledge and experiences with others. However, between caring for our animals, running the farm, and juggling our other commitments, we simply don't have the time to offer internships or job shadowing opportunities right now.
It's something we'd love to explore in the future, so stay tuned! We appreciate your interest in learning more about farm life here at Evans Acres! ❤️
4. Can I donate to the animals?
That's so thoughtful of you! ❤️ Caring for our animals is a big part of what we do, and we appreciate everyone who loves them as much as we do!
While we don't expect donations, we certainly appreciate anyone who wants to lend a helping hand! Whether it's a monetary contribution, feed, supplies, or something else that could benefit our animals, we're always grateful for the kindness and generosity of others.
Please contact us if you'd like to make a donation so we can coordinate the details.
And remember, one of the best ways to support our animals and our little family farm is by attending our events, shopping our farm store, and sharing Evans Acres with your friends and family!
5. Do you accept produce, pumpkins, hay, or Christmas tree donations?
Yes! We're always grateful when people think of our animals! We occasionally accept donations of hay, fresh produce, pumpkins, and real Christmas trees for our animals to enjoy.
Our animals especially love pumpkins in the fall, and some enjoy nibbling on Christmas trees after the holidays!
For the health and safety of our animals, all donations must be approved before drop-off. Pumpkins must be fresh and free of mold, paint, wax, and decorations. Christmas trees must be natural, untreated, and completely free of flocking, artificial snow, ornaments, tinsel, and other decorations. Not all types of trees or produce are safe for every animal, so we carefully determine what is appropriate to feed.
Please contact us before bringing anything to the farm. We may not be able to accept every donation, but we truly appreciate you thinking of us and our animals! ❤️

Farm Policies at Evans Acres 🐮🐐🐴
We want everyone to have a safe, fun, and memorable experience at Evans Acres! 🐮❤️ As a working family farm, we have a few important guidelines in place to help protect our visitors, animals, and property. From what you can bring to the farm to ticket policies and cancellations, you'll find everything you need to know to help make your visit enjoyable for everyone!
See our full Terms and Conditions
1. Can I smoke or vape on the farm?
For the health, safety, and comfort of our guests and animals, we ask that you please refrain from smoking or vaping while visiting Evans Acres. With animals, hay, straw, and other flammable materials around the farm, fire safety is especially important. Thank you for helping us keep our farm safe and enjoyable for everyone!
2. Can I fly a drone?
For the safety of our animals and visitors, drones are not permitted without prior approval. Drones can easily startle livestock, and we want to keep everyone safe and comfortable. If you're interested in using a drone for photography or video, please contact us in advance to discuss your request.
3. Can I bring outside animal food?
Please don't! Our animals have specific dietary needs, and even foods that seem harmless can cause health problems. We offer specially selected animal treats for purchase during many of our events.
For the health and safety of our animals, please only feed them treats provided or specifically approved by Evans Acres. We appreciate your help keeping our animals healthy and happy!
4. Can I bring balloons?
Balloons are permitted in designated party areas during pre-scheduled birthday parties and celebrations, as long as they are kept away from our animals. You may also occasionally see balloon animals being made at our festivals!
Outside of these exceptions, we ask that guests please leave balloons at home.
For the safety of our animals, please make sure all balloons, strings, and broken pieces are kept out of animal pens and cleaned up immediately. Balloons can be dangerous if swallowed by livestock, and we appreciate your help keeping our furry friends safe and healthy! ❤️
5. Can I bring decorations for a party?
Absolutely! We love seeing families celebrate special occasions at Evans Acres!
If you've reserved a birthday party with us, you're welcome to bring decorations to make your celebration extra special. We ask that decorations be kept within your designated party area, secured so they don't blow into animal enclosures, and completely cleaned up before you leave.
Please check with us ahead of time about balloons, confetti, glitter, or other decorations that could pose a risk to our animals.
6. What is your cancellation policy?
We understand that plans sometimes change! However, because our events and experiences require advance planning, staffing, and preparation, cancellations are subject to the policies outlined at the time of booking.
For ticketed events, purchases are nonrefundable. Private tours, birthday parties, and other reserved experiences may have additional cancellation or rescheduling terms.
If severe weather or other unexpected circumstances require us to make changes to an event, we'll communicate any available rescheduling options.
7. Are tickets refundable?
Unfortunately, all ticket sales are FINAL and NONREFUNDABLE. Our events require a great deal of advance planning and preparation, and we're unable to offer refunds if your plans change or you're unable to attend.
Many of our multi-day festivals allow tickets to be used on either event day, giving you a little flexibility when planning your visit!
Our events are generally held rain or shine. In the event of severe weather or other circumstances requiring changes, we'll communicate any available makeup dates or alternative arrangements.
We appreciate your understanding and support of our little family farm! ❤️
