2026 Calves
At our farm, we prioritize raising our calves in a natural environment with plenty of human interaction. We begin by allowing them to be dam-raised, unless other factors prohibit this. We then gradually introducing creep feed while spending time with them, ensuring they remain comfortable with us in a positive atmosphere. At weaning time, we implement fence-line weaning to make the transition smoother on mama and baby. Our focus on desensitizing the calves includes regular human interaction and teaching them to walk on a halter, fostering a trusting relationship between them and their caregivers. It’s important to remember that before bringing them home, we have dedicated significant time to working with them on a halter. Continuity in this practice is crucial, as they can quickly regress without it. To maintain their tameness, prepared to invest time in continuing their halter once they arrive at their new home. Your commitment to this process will make a big difference in their adjustment.
We have a variety of calves for sale—all different sizes, colors, and breeds. We are still expecting more any day, so continue to check back.
Each calf will undergo extensive handling and halter training. They will be calm, respectful, and gentle enough to be around kids or smaller pastures.

Otis - Highland, Handsome, Hairy & Full of Potential
Handsome, fluffy, and as sweet as can be! Otis is a gorgeous Highland bull calf with beautiful red-toned coloring, a solid build, and that adorable, shaggy Highland face everyone loves!
Even at his young age, Otis is already developing a beautiful, thick coat with plenty of Highland character. With his impressive genetics and wonderful disposition, we can't wait to see how this handsome little guy matures!
Genetics & Breeding
Otis comes from two beautiful Highland parents:
-
Dam: Daisy – A gorgeous Highland cow with the classic Highland look, impressive horns, beautiful hair, and a strong, feminine build.
-
Sire: Clyde – Our stunning Silver Highland bull, known for his beautiful coat, exceptionally gentle temperament, and consistently impressive calves.
With Highland genetics on both sides, Otis has all the makings of a beautiful, shaggy Highland as he matures!
An Exceptionally Sweet Personality!
Otis is every bit as sweet as he is handsome! This little guy has an incredibly calm, gentle disposition and is already showing wonderful manners at such a young age.
He leads well, is easy to handle, and is comfortable around people of all ages. Children can walk right up to him and give him loves and pets, and he happily soaks up the attention. He's patient, trusting, and easygoing, making him an absolute joy to be around.
Despite being one of our younger calves, Otis has already accompanied us on off-site petting zoo field trips, where he's interacted with numerous children and adults. He takes all the activity and attention in stride, showing just how naturally calm and adaptable he is.
His combination of gentle manners, friendly personality, and early socialization makes him a wonderful prospect for someone wanting a Highland that's enjoyable to handle and be around.
A Little More About Otis
During birth, Otis sustained an injury to his left eye. He was examined and treated by our veterinarian and has recovered well. He does have some remaining vision loss in that eye, although he has not lost his vision completely.
The good news is that it doesn't appear to slow him down or interfere with his everyday activities. He navigates his surroundings, interacts with the other cattle, leads well, and comfortably approaches people for attention.
We believe in being completely transparent about our animals so their future owners know exactly what to expect.

Available Mini Horses
Freedom, Jessie, and Gloria are each expecting again this spring/summer. We continue to be amazed at their babies each. They have all been bred back to the incredible Beethoven. Every foal has carried their own unique markings, color, and beauty—yet all share the wonderful temperament their sire is known for. We are so excited to see what foals 2026 brings. We already expect we will be delighted with how gentle, loving, and eager for human connection they will -- as have their siblings in the past.
Each miniature foal has been well desensitized to human contact, received plenty of hands-on interaction, and will be started on a halter by the time of weaning, typically around 4–6 months of age.
